This past weekend, the stunning grounds of Blenheim Palace played host to the Agria Blenheim Palace International Horse Trials and the FEI Eventing European Championship 2025 — and what a finale it turned out to be.

Laura Collett Shines for Britain
British rider Laura Collett delivered a flawless show jumping round on her long-time partner London 52, sealing an unforgettable individual gold medal. Her performance crowned her as Britain’s 21st individual European champion since 1955 — an emotional milestone for both horse and rider.
Hot on her heels was Germany’s Michael Jung, the legendary triple Olympic gold medallist, who remained faultless with FischerChipmunk FRH and helped secure team gold for Germany — their seventh European team title.
Adding to the drama, Tom McEwen and JL Dublin produced a sublime clear round to clinch individual bronze, while Ireland celebrated a historic team silver, their first European medal in 30 years. France, consistent as ever, took team bronze, edging Switzerland in the final phase.
“It’s what makes the sport so special,” said Laura, reflecting on her head-to-head battle with Jung. And special it was — a weekend of world-class horsemanship, resilience, and history-making results.

The Clear Idea’s Role at Blenheim
While riders battled it out in the arena, fans gathered at a stylish 12-metre Pulse Dropdeck fan shop, proudly created by The Clear Idea for our client Event Merchandising Ltd, operating on behalf of the Fédération Equestre Internationale (FEI).
This weatherproof unit wasn’t just a shop — it was a vibrant hub for supporters to immerse themselves in the championship experience, complete with exclusive event-specific merchandise. Designed for both function and flair, it delivered a seamless retail experience that matched the prestige of the competition itself.

Beyond the Championship
The excitement didn’t end with the European medals. In the GFS Saddles 8 & 9 Year Old CCI4-S*, New Zealand’s Samantha Lissington held her nerve with Quantas R, finishing spot on the optimum time to secure the win. Britain’s Gemma Stevens and Sarah Bullimore followed closely behind, proving once again that the sport’s future is in capable hands.
A Weekend to Remember
From history-making rides to stylish fan engagement, Blenheim Palace offered an unforgettable celebration of equestrian excellence. At The Clear Idea, we’re proud to have played our part in elevating the atmosphere with our Pulse Dropdeck fan shop — proof that innovative event spaces can transform not just retail, but the entire spectator experience.
Until next time, Blenheim — what a showcase for the sport.
