Aston Villa’s football victory parade: the fleet behind the spectacle

Aston Villa UEFA Europa League victory parade in Birmingham featuring The Clear Idea's LED ShowTruck, LED HyperBus and open-top parade bus surrounded by thousands of celebrating supporters.

The Clear Idea delivered a three-vehicle event fleet for Aston Villa’s football victory parade through Birmingham on 21 May 2026, as thousands of supporters filled the streets to mark the club’s UEFA Europa League triumph. An LED ShowTruck, an LED HyperBus and an open-top event bus carried the players, the trophy and the live broadcast through the city centre. What The Clear Idea delivered for Aston Villa’s football victory parade The Clear Idea supplied three vehicles, each with a defined job on the route. The LED ShowTruck carried the big-screen broadcast visuals. The LED HyperBus led the fan engagement with its LED-wrapped exterior. The open-top event bus — the centrepiece of any football victory parade — carried the squad and the Europa League trophy. Together the fleet turned a bus route into a moving broadcast set, keeping supporters at the front and the back of the crowd inside the same moment. The Clear Idea builds and operates this kind of fleet for football victory parades and open-top buses across the UK. A three-vehicle fleet built for a citywide celebration Each vehicle in the fleet did something the others could not. The table below sets out how the three vehicles worked across the parade route. Vehicle Role on the day Best suited to LED ShowTruck Carried the large-format LED screen for live visuals, replays and branded content Broadcast moments and stage-scale content LED HyperBus LED-wrapped double-decker leading the buses and driving fan engagement Movement through dense crowds and hype Open-top event bus Carried the squad and the Europa League trophy at deck height Player parades and the trophy lift 3 Event vehicles deployed The result was a coordinated convoy rather than a single bus — a format that keeps energy high along a long city-centre route. How the LED ShowTruck powered the live broadcast The LED ShowTruck was the fleet’s broadcast engine. Built around a large-format LED screen, it carried live visuals, replays of the final and branded graphics that fans could see from across a packed square. On a route this size, that screen is what lets supporters standing hundreds of metres from the bus still feel part of the celebration. Because the LED ShowTruck is self-contained, it can move with the parade and hold its position at key stopping points without a separate rig. That flexibility is why the LED ShowTruck anchors so many large outdoor activations, from parades to sponsor takeovers. The LED HyperBus and open-top bus kept the crowd in the moment The LED HyperBus led the buses through the city with its LED-wrapped exterior carrying club messaging and the “Make Some Noise” call to the crowd. As a double-decker, it gives players and staff an elevated platform while its wrap turns the vehicle itself into a moving piece of branding. The open-top event bus carried the squad and the trophy at the heart of the convoy. Confetti cannons, flares and city-centre screens framed each stop, and the open sides gave supporters on both pavements a clear view of the players. “A victory parade works when the fan at the back of the crowd feels as close to the moment as the fan at the front. That is what the fleet is built to do.” — The Clear Idea The trophy lift Birmingham had waited for The high point came as the players raised the UEFA Europa League trophy from the top deck of the open-top bus. Confetti filled the air, the crowd surged, and the live screens carried the moment to everyone who could not see the deck directly. It was the image the whole route had been building towards. Moments like this are the point of a well-planned parade fleet: the vehicles fade into the background and the celebration takes over. 2023 marked a significant milestone for Harley Davidson – 120 years of roaring engines and rebellious spirit. To commemorate this monumental birthday, the iconic motorbike manufacturer threw an epic celebration in their hometown. Veterans’ Park in Milwaukee underwent a remarkable transformation into a colossal festival site, with the main stage stealing the spotlight on Saturday night as The Foo Fighters took the helm. Our role in this grand celebration was to provide a showcase for the newest addition to the Harley family – the Live Wire, an electric bike that embodied the future of Harley Davidson. Housed in a 44ft expanding VIP hospitality unit, the centerpiece featured two Live Wire bikes, including the stunning new Del Mar model. The unit also boasted customization options, an 85” screen playing digital Live Wire content, a Sonos sound system, and an array of memorabilia and Live Wire merchandise. Over the three-day extravaganza, the hospitality unit became a magnet for over 10,000 visitors, with several enthusiasts committing to the future of electric riding by placing deposits for the Live Wire bike. As the main acts took the stage, our showcase transitioned into ‘night-mode,’ bathing in purple neon lighting that made it stand out in the midst of the 30,000-strong crowd. The Live Wire showcase took center stage, capturing the attention of hardcore petrolheads. Visitors were not only captivated by the bike’s striking aesthetics but also awestruck by its epic performance. Going from 0 to 60 in just three seconds, the Live Wire proved to be a formidable contender among the legendary Harley bikes of the past. To complement the showcase, a test-drive center was set up down the road in Deadwood, inviting enthusiasts to experience the thrill firsthand. Our modern hospitality unit played a pivotal role in introducing the vanguard of electric bikes to a global audience of die-hard Harley fans. It was a celebration of the past, present, and future, where the Live Wire emerged as a shining star in the legacy of Harley Davidson.
