The Minus 196 Chiller Room: a brand activation trailer built for a heatwave

When Minus 196 needed a genuinely cold room in the middle of a UK heatwave — on open grass, with no mains power — the answer was a brand activation trailer, not a marquee or a converted vehicle. The Clear Idea designed and supplied the Transparent Showcase Trailer that became The Chiller Room, a temperature-controlled pop-up bar on Clapham Common, London, open for a single day on 30 July 2026. What was the Minus 196 Chiller Room? The Minus 196 Chiller Room was a chilled, glass-walled bar visitors could step into and feel the difference immediately. It was built for drinks brand Minus 196 as a one-day activation on Clapham Common, turning “cold” from a detail of the product into the entire experience. The structure behind it was The Clear Idea’s Transparent Showcase Trailer, the same glass-walled platform offered for exhibition trailer hire on single-site activations and multi-city tours. Full-surface vinyl branding turned every glass face into an ice-effect Minus 196 graphic, legible from right across the common. The brief: a cold room in a British heatwave The Chiller Room was built for a British summer problem. Following consecutive UK heatwaves, Minus 196 set a brief for a physical space that made cold the product experience rather than a detail of it — a room people could walk into and feel the temperature drop. That brief ruled out the usual options. A marquee heats up. A converted vehicle cannot hold temperature in direct sun. The requirement was an engineered, sealed, climate-controlled structure that could run on an unserviced site all day. Why a brand activation trailer solved it Holding a genuinely cold room at temperature, on grass, in the middle of a heatwave is an engineering problem — and that is what the Transparent Showcase Trailer was built to solve. Its climate control held the interior cold across the full day of trading, in direct sun and on unserviced ground. Crucially, the unit runs without a fixed power supply. Multi-power options — mains, battery or generator — let it operate on grass, which is what makes a cold room on an open common possible at all. It is one of the reasons the platform is booked as a brand activation trailer for exactly this kind of high-summer campaign. 15 m² Usable interior, all four sides glass Transparent Showcase Trailer: Chiller Room deployment Specification Detail Usable interior 15 square metres Set-up time Under 15 minutes, single operator Deployment Body demounts and drops to ground level for eye-level display Power Mains, battery or generator — runs on grass Climate Held cold all day in direct sun on unserviced ground Branding Full-surface vinyl on all four glass faces Access Transparent on all four sides; opens along one long side One structure, two jobs: cold room and open bar The Transparent Showcase Trailer worked as two things at once. Because it is transparent on all four sides and opens along one long side, it functioned as a sealed, cooled room and an open bar with seating in the same footprint. Visitors sat inside at high tables, in view of passers-by on every approach — a hospitality space and a piece of outdoor media at the same time. That dual use is why the same platform is booked for event trailer hire as often as it is for static product display, and it sits within The Clear Idea’s wider range of exhibition trailers. “Anyone can put a bar on a common. Holding a genuinely cold room at temperature, on grass, in the middle of a heatwave, is an engineering problem — and that is what the Transparent Showcase Trailer was built to solve.” — Jonathan Bramley, Founder, The Clear Idea Why temperature is becoming the experience Temperature is becoming an experiential mechanic in its own right. Where brands once competed on scale or spectacle, campaigns launching into a British summer are increasingly built around physical comfort as the payoff. That shift changes the requirement. It moves the brief from a marquee or a converted vehicle to an engineered, climate-controlled structure — one that can guarantee the experience regardless of the weather or the site. With UK heatwaves now a recurring summer feature, that reliability is the point. The Clear Idea builds and operates its exhibition trailers in-house and deploys them across the UK, Europe and internationally. Previous deployments of the same Transparent Showcase Trailer platform include the Aston Martin Aramco F1 UK tour. Frequently asked questions What is a brand activation trailer? A brand activation trailer is a purpose-built mobile structure used to host a live brand experience at events, in city centres or on open sites. The Clear Idea’s Transparent Showcase Trailer is a glass-walled version: it demounts to ground level, offers 15 square metres of interior, and doubles as both a sealed room and an open, seated bar. Can a glass exhibition trailer stay cold in a heatwave? Yes. For the Minus 196 Chiller Room, The Clear Idea’s Transparent Showcase Trailer held its interior cold across a full day of trading in direct sun on Clapham Common, London. Onboard climate control combined with a sealed, glass-walled body keeps a see-through exhibition trailer at temperature even on unserviced ground in high summer. How quickly can the Transparent Showcase Trailer be set up? A single operator can deploy the Transparent Showcase Trailer in under 15 minutes. The body demounts and drops to ground level for eye-level display, with no ramps or steps. This fast, single-person set-up is one reason the same glass-sided trailer suits both single-day activations and multi-city touring schedules. Can a brand activation trailer run without mains power? Yes. The Transparent Showcase Trailer offers multi-power options — mains, battery or generator — so it can run on grass and other unserviced sites. On Clapham Common the unit powered full-day climate control with no fixed supply, which is what allows a brand activation trailer to hold a cold room in the middle of an open common. Oner Active London Marathon Activation: Transparent Showcase Truck Powers Women’s Recovery Experience

London Marathon Weekend — Covent Garden Oner Your Recovery Client: Oner Active Location: Covent Garden, London Footfall: 600+ visitors Oner Active x TCI: A Standout London Marathon Brand Activation The London Marathon is one of the world’s most iconic sporting events—but beyond the finish line, brands have a powerful opportunity to connect with audiences in meaningful ways. This year, TCI partnered with Oner Active to deliver a high-impact experiential marketing activation in Covent Garden, using our signature Transparent Showcase Truck to create a premium recovery space dedicated to female runners. The result? A visually striking, purpose-driven activation that combined brand storytelling, community engagement and real value. A Mobile Retail Experience Designed for Visibility At the centre of the activation was our chrome-finished Transparent Showcase Truck—a fully mobile, glass-structured retail and experiential unit designed to maximise visibility and footfall. Positioned in the heart of Covent Garden, the truck naturally attracted marathon crowds, tourists and supporters. Its transparent design allowed visitors to immediately see inside, creating instant curiosity and engagement without the need for heavy signage or hard selling. This is where mobile experiential marketing excels—bringing the brand directly to the audience in high-footfall environments. The “Oner Your Recovery” Concept Oner Active’s vision was clear: create a dedicated space where female marathon runners could recover, reset and feel celebrated after completing 26.2 miles. Oner Active is a brand built for women who move and the London Marathon — with thousands of female finishers crossing the line — was the perfect occasion to bring that community together in an unmissable format. Alongside the Transparent Showcase Truck, the Oner Cheer Squad brought infectious energy to the piazza — amplifying the sense of belonging that made the day so special. The queues that formed spoke for themselves: people drawn in equally by the spectacle of the truck and the warmth of the Oner community forming around it. “Seeing over 600 people come through teh space across teh day was incredibly rewarding. The energy, the conversations and the sense of belonging that formed around the van reminded me why experiential work like this matters so much.” – Gabrijela Zaper — Event Manager, Oner Active 100 100 female finishers unlocked the Oner Toolboxes — a curated recovery kit gifted exclusively to women who had just conquered the 26.2 miles. LED HyperBus Activation: How The Clear Idea Powered West Ham United’s Historic Lady Mayor’s Show

Hammers on the Move: How Our LED HyperBus Helped West Ham United Make History The LED HyperBus activation we delivered for West Ham United on 8th November 2025 was one of those projects that stops you in your tracks. When London’s oldest civic procession gained a new name and a lifelong Hammers fan at its helm, we were proud to put West Ham on wheels — in spectacular fashion. 350K+Spectators lining the route3 miParade route through the City800+Years of Show history#1First ever Premier League club to take part There are some projects that come along and remind you precisely why you do what you do. West Ham United’s participation in the 2025 Lady Mayor’s Show was one of those moments — a genuinely once-in-a-generation opportunity, and we were right in the thick of it. On 8th November 2025, the streets of the City of London were filled with the roar of crowds, the strains of marching bands, and the unmistakable claret and blue of West Ham United. For the first time in the procession’s 800-year history, a Premier League football club joined the parade — and The Clear Idea was there to make sure they made an entrance nobody would forget, providing the iconic LED HyperBus that carried the Hammers through the heart of the Square Mile. A historic first for English football The Lady Mayor’s Show is no ordinary parade. Dating back to the 13th century, it is widely regarded as the oldest, longest, and best-loved civic procession in the world. Each year, it winds its way from Mansion House through to the Royal Courts of Justice and back — a three-mile route packed with more than 125 organisations, thousands of participants, and, this year, upwards of 350,000 spectators lining the streets. What made 2025 particularly special was the identity of the new Lady Mayor herself. Alderwoman Dame Susan Langley DBE — the 697th Lord Mayor of London and the first to hold the title of Lady Mayor — is a lifelong West Ham supporter. Born in east London and raised with claret and blue in her blood, her election made it fitting that the Hammers were invited to take part in the procession for the very first time. “West Ham is making history with me… I love that. Can you imagine what my late Dad would have thought?” — Dame Susan Langley DBE, Lady Mayor of the City of London It was a full-circle moment for the club, too. West Ham United were founded in 1895 as Thames Ironworks FC — a team born from the factories of east London. To march through the financial heart of the capital, celebrated by hundreds of thousands of people, felt like a proper homecoming of sorts. Enter the LED HyperBus Activation When West Ham came to us at The Clear Idea for an LED HyperBus activation, the brief was clear: they needed a float that could carry their story visually, hold dozens of passengers on the open top deck, and turn heads along every inch of that three-mile route. The answer was our LED HyperBus — and it was, if we do say so ourselves, a belter. The double-decker was wrapped entirely in the club’s signature claret and blue livery, emblazoned with the iconic crossed hammers crest. Along the lower panels, a sweeping photographic collage brought together hundreds of faces from the West Ham United Foundation’s community programmes — a visual tribute to the real people at the heart of the club’s work across east London and beyond. The upper deck was open-topped, allowing club ambassadors, Foundation participants, and supporters to wave to the crowds with that unmistakable sense of occasion that only a proper London parade can deliver. From the moment the HyperBus departed Mansion House, it was near the front of the procession — impossible to miss, impossible to ignore. As Foundation Ambassador and broadcaster Bobby Seagull put it, it was a “lovely full-circle moment” for the club, and we’re proud that our vehicle was at the centre of it. More than a marketing exercise What struck us most about this activation was the depth of meaning behind it. This wasn’t just a branded bus rolling through London — it was a moving tribute to 130 years of history, to grassroots community work, and to the kind of inclusive, ambitious thinking that the best experiential campaigns are built on. On board the HyperBus were Club Ambassador and former West Ham winger Matt Jarvis, Foundation Ambassador Bobby Seagull, and participants from a number of the West Ham United Foundation’s community programmes — young people and mentors alike, many of whom had never expected to find themselves at the heart of one of London’s most iconic events. “Never in my life did I expect that I would be worthy of doing this. I feel like anybody from the local area that sees West Ham on any wall, on any shirt, any scarf, should be able to dream about doing something like this.” — TH, former Foundation participant and mentor The Lady Mayor’s Appeal had also funded the Inspire Zone at The Foundry, West Ham’s community hub in Beckton — so there was a genuine, tangible connection between the Lady Mayor’s work and the Foundation’s mission. Our HyperBus carried all of that history and hope along with it, in front of millions watching on BBC One and online around the world. Why the LED HyperBus works for activations like this If you’ve not seen our HyperBus in action, the Lady Mayor’s Show gives you a fairly good idea of what it can do. Its full-wrap LED display capability means that brands and organisations can turn it into a rolling canvas — one that’s visible in daylight, striking in any weather, and powerful enough to stop a crowd of 350,000 in their tracks. The open-top deck creates genuine human connection between whoever’s on board and the people lining the streets, which is something no static billboard or digital screen can replicate. European Roadshow Company for Chinese Brands | The Clear Idea

European Roadshow Company for Chinese Brands: Why The Clear Idea Delivers Results Chinese brands are expanding into Europe faster than ever. Chinese-owned car brands alone nearly doubled their European market share between January and July 2025 — and that expansion isn’t limited to automotive. Consumer electronics, home appliances, and tech companies are all pushing west. But breaking into Europe isn’t just about having a great product. It’s about building trust with distributors, training retail partners and getting your brand in front of the right decision-makers. That’s exactly what a well-executed European roadshow delivers — and it’s what The Clear Idea was built to do. Selected after a worldwide procurement process as Midea’s global roadshow partner, we have a proven playbook for helping Chinese brands launch, engage and grow across European markets. 120 Locations 12mos Duration 700+ Trained in 3 Months 200+ Countries — Midea The Challenge Facing Chinese Brands Entering Europe The paradox every major Chinese manufacturer faces is this: world-class products, but limited brand recognition in Europe. Midea is a perfect example — a $55 billion revenue company selling products in over 200 countries, yet relatively unknown to European distributors when they first approached us. Potential distribution partners are cautious. They want to see the product. They want to understand the brand story. They want to meet the people behind it. A static showroom in one city — Midea had one in Frankfurt — can’t reach the hundreds of decision-makers spread across Germany, Austria, and beyond. This is the core case for a B2B product roadshow in Europe: bring the brand directly to distributors, in a premium, immersive environment, at scale. Our Solution: A Custom Mobile Brand Activation Unit For the Midea European roadshow, The Clear Idea designed and built a bespoke mobile showcase from the ground up. This wasn’t a converted van or a pop-up tent — it was a purpose-built, fully branded mobile showroom engineered to command attention and deliver a premium guest experience at every stop. Unit Specifications 13m long, 4.9m wide, 3m high — 9 tonnes of rolling brand presence Demounts to ground level for easy, accessible entry at any location Expands at the touch of a button to a full 5-metre wide footprint Temperature-controlled interior with premium LED lighting throughout Roof terrace for VIP moments, networking, and elevated engagement 60 Midea products on display, including a functioning oven for live food demos The result was a rolling flagship store — a brand environment that European distributors and consumers could walk into, interact with, and remember. This is what separates a great mobile brand activation from a forgettable pop-up. End-to-End Roadshow Management: Everything Handled, Nothing Missed One of the biggest concerns Chinese brands have when running a product roadshow in Germany or Austria is the operational complexity: different languages, EU regulations, cross-border logistics, permit requirements, and the sheer number of moving parts. The Clear Idea removes all of that friction. From a single brief, we manage the entire roadshow operation: Vehicle Design & Production Full interior concept design, custom fabrication and build Professional product installation — every Midea unit positioned and connected Brand print, wrap, and all exterior and interior branding Roadshow Logistics Europe Full route planning and itinerary management to reduce carbon footprint and costs Experienced driver team supplied and managed throughout Driver accommodation, ferries, trains, and flights all booked and coordinated Setup and breakdown at every event location — fast, professional, consistent Compliance & Paperwork International carnets (permits) handled and applied for across all markets Vehicle maintained in full compliance with EU roadworthiness regulations Ongoing Campaign Management Weekly management meetings with the Midea team Live inventory tracking and reporting Promotional materials produced and distributed at every stop Our multi-lingual account managers bridge the gap between Chinese brand ambitions and European market realities. Our driving teams are proactive, professional, and a genuine extension of your brand on the road. https://vimeo.com/1124537320?share=copy&fl=cl&fe=ci The Midea Roadshow: Results That Speak for Themselves Launched in Autumn 2024, the Midea European roadshow delivered measurable, commercial impact from the very first stops: 120 locations across Germany and Austria over 12 months Over 700 distributors trained on the Midea product range in the first 3 months alone Qualified leads generated at every stop — not just awareness, but action Real distributor relationships built that a Frankfurt showroom could never have created These aren’t footfall numbers. These are qualified B2B conversations, product training sessions, and distribution relationships that directly translate into retail listings and sales pipeline. That’s the commercial power of a well-executed brand roadshow in Europe. “Not only do The Clear Idea bring their international roadshow experience to the table but their project management tools and multi-lingual account managers help ensure the event planning is totally taken care of.” Jochen SchaeferMidea Why The Clear Idea is the Right European Roadshow Partner for Chinese Brands We understand the specific commercial and operational challenges of launching a Chinese brand across European markets. Here’s why brands choose us: Global roadshow experience with deep European operational expertise In-house design, fabrication and production — no outsourcing, total quality control Multi-lingual account managers who understand Chinese business culture and European market expectations Proven project management systems built for complex, multi-country campaigns A track record of converting distributor engagement into commercial outcomes Carbon-conscious itinerary planning — we optimise routes to reduce your brand’s environmental footprint Chinese brands expanding into Europe face a narrow window to make the right first impression with distributors and consumers alike. A professional, immersive European roadshow is the most effective tool to build that credibility quickly — and The Clear Idea is the partner who can deliver it. Roadshows vs Tradeshows: Why Taking Your Brand on the Road Wins Every Time

When it comes to getting your brand in front of the right people, the trusty tradeshow has long been the marketer’s go-to. Rows of booths, branded giveaways, and endless handshakes — all under one very expensive roof. But in today’s fast-paced marketing landscape, many forward-thinking brands are embracing something more agile and personal: the roadshow. Instead of waiting for your audience to come to you, you bring your brand experience directly to them — creating authentic, high-impact encounters that tradeshows simply can’t match. What’s the Difference Between a Tradeshow and a Roadshow? A tradeshow is typically a large-scale industry event held at a convention centre where hundreds of exhibitors compete for attention. You rely on foot traffic, chance encounters, and your booth’s location to drive engagement. A roadshow flips that model completely. You take your brand on tour, setting up engaging pop-up activations in multiple cities or target regions. It’s mobile, flexible, and designed to reach the audiences that matter most to your business. Roadshow Tradeshow Key Differences at a Glance Aspect Tradeshows Roadshows Format Static booth in one location Mobile brand experience touring multiple cities Audience Reach Broad, industry-wide Targeted, local, and data-driven Competition Surrounded by rivals You own the stage Cost Structure High, one-off investment Scalable, repeatable model Flexibility Fixed dates and layouts Fully adaptable and on-demand Engagement Quality Short, transactional Deep, personalised and memorable Why Roadshows Outperform Tradeshows 1. You Control the Experience At a tradeshow, your brand is limited by stand size, location, and event rules. With a roadshow, the entire experience is yours to curate — from the venue and design to lighting, sound, and hospitality. Want to host an intimate breakfast demo or a full-scale interactive showcase? You can, and you can make it entirely on-brand. 2. Engagement That Actually Matters Let’s be honest — most tradeshow conversations last about three minutes before someone grabs a brochure and moves on. Roadshows, by contrast, attract people who chose to be there. Every attendee is a qualified lead. You have time to talk, demonstrate, and genuinely connect — not just exchange business cards. That kind of engagement builds trust, loyalty, and measurable sales impact. 3. Smarter Spend, Stronger ROI Tradeshows are notoriously expensive: stand rental, logistics, travel, accommodation, and hidden venue costs quickly add up. Roadshows are more predictable — and often, far more cost-effective. By using one modular setup across multiple stops, you spread your investment while multiplying your reach. You’re paying for results, not just floor space. 4. Go Where the Customers Actually Are Instead of hoping your target audience happens to attend the same convention, you can take your brand straight to their doorstep. From regional hubs to key urban centres, roadshows let you select territories that truly matter — markets with growth potential or loyal clients who’ll appreciate the face-to-face experience. 5. Build Genuine Local Relationships Turning up in someone’s city shows commitment. Roadshows allow you to connect with communities, partner with local businesses, and adapt your presentation to regional needs. It feels personal — and that’s powerful in a world tired of corporate detachment. 6. Agile, Flexible, and Future-Proof Tradeshows are booked years in advance. If your strategy shifts or a product launch gets delayed, tough luck. Roadshows let you pivot at any point — change your route, refresh your content, even test different approaches from one stop to the next. It’s marketing in motion, both literally and strategically. 7. Less Competition, More Attention In a tradeshow hall, your prospects are surrounded by competing brands. By the end of the day, they can’t remember who offered what. At your roadshow event, there’s no noise, no distractions — just you, your story, and your audience. That clarity of message is invaluable. 8. Data-Driven Insights and Smarter Follow-Up When you host a roadshow, you know exactly who’s attended — their location, role, and level of engagement. It’s clean, actionable data that powers more relevant follow-ups. Compare that to scanning hundreds of badges from people who mainly wanted free merch. How to Make Your Roadshow a Success Choose your markets wisely. Use data, not guesswork, to plan your route. Deliver real value. Make your event more than a sales pitch — teach, inspire, or entertain. Collaborate locally. Team up with trusted partners or influencers to boost reach and authenticity. Promote smartly. With no built-in footfall like tradeshows, you’ll need to drive your own attendance — but that means everyone there genuinely wants to be there. Measure and adapt. Track engagement, gather feedback, and refine your setup as you go. The Bottom Line Tradeshows will always have their place — especially for networking and industry visibility. But if you want targeted reach, creative freedom, and genuine engagement, roadshows win every time. By taking your brand directly to your audience, you build stronger connections, demonstrate authenticity, and turn brand awareness into brand advocacy. In a marketing landscape where experience beats exposure every time, roadshows don’t just make sense — they lead the way. Ready to take your brand on the road? Whether you’re targeting trade partners, retail buyers, or direct consumers, The Clear Idea gives your brand a mobile stage to perform on. We handle everything — design, logistics, branding, and activation — so you can focus on what really matters: connecting with your audience. The Ultimate Guide to Planning a Successful Event Roadshow

Introduction to Roadshow Events An event roadshow series is a powerful marketing strategy, taking your brand on the road to engage directly with target audiences across multiple locations. Typically filled with day-long activities, these events offer an intimate setting for product demonstrations, insightful discussions, and valuable networking opportunities. By reaching out to different cities, a roadshow event allows for personalized interactions with your customer base and prospects, paving the way for meaningful connections and direct feedback. Why Roadshow? The appeal of roadshow events lies in their ability to foster in-person connections. Whether it’s spreading brand awareness, launching new products, or educating the market, roadshows bring your offering directly to the doorstep of potential clients. This direct engagement model is crucial for businesses looking to make a tangible impact in highly competitive markets. Strategic Planning: Laying the Groundwork B2C In the world of marketing, finding the perfect venue for your brand’s experiential journey is crucial. With the advent of digital platforms that simplify these searches, locating an experiential marketing space has become less of a hassle. A noteworthy mention in this regard is Location.Live. This innovative website tool is revolutionizing how brands find and book experiential marketing spaces. With an easy-to-navigate online booking system, Location.Live offers a comprehensive list of spaces, alongside vital information such as health and safety requirements, loading times, costs, and availability. This makes it an indispensable resource for marketers aiming to create memorable consumer interactions in high-footfall areas.c However, Location.Live might not be the one-size-fits-all solution for every brand out there. While it’s a goldmine for business-to-consumer (B2C) interactions, its suitability for exclusive or high-net-worth individual locations might require a bit more digging. The platform might allow for filtering based on exclusivity, but the onus is on the marketers to explore and ascertain the website’s current offerings thoroughly. B2B The conversation shifts slightly when it comes to business-to-business (B2B) roadshows. In these scenarios, the significance of the location often takes a backseat. Typically, in B2B interactions, one of the businesses involved becomes the host venue for the event. For example, companies like Dell have conducted events either at their customer’s locations or welcomed customers to their distributors, making one of the “B’s” the event venue itself. This underlines that for B2B roadshows, the choice of location is usually more straightforward and dictated by the nature of the business relationship. This distinction becomes even more pronounced when comparing consumer-focused roadshows to those aimed at a B2B audience. Consumer roadshows, especially for high-end products like luxury electric vehicles, face the unique challenge of pinpointing their exact audience. For such brands, the task is not just about finding a location but ensuring that it resonates with their target demographic. Forming strategic alliances with exclusive hotels or golf clubs might be a more effective way to reach potential customers. Nevertheless, the responsibility of making the roadshow a success ultimately falls on the brand. Selecting the right location is paramount because, at the end of the day, the effectiveness of the roadshow hinges on the brand’s ability to engage its intended audience in a meaningful way. Identifying the right audience is essential—what kind of consumers are you targeting, and how many do you expect to engage at your roadshow? If you’re planning a large-scale event, with 100,000 visitors over a few days, you’re looking at attracting a high volume of people. Your product is consumer-friendly, not a high-end exclusive item like luxurious jewelry, which often limits the number of visitors due to security concerns. Your goal should be to create an open and welcoming event that can handle the numbers you anticipate. In order to make the correct selection, it’s logical to consider where your showcase needs to go. What size venue will you be appearing at? Where is your audience? Venue type & accessibility – too big and you may struggle with certain venues (city centre activations, golf courses, ski resorts) Budgeting Your budget dictates the scope and quality of your roadshow. Prioritize spending based on your main objectives and audience needs, considering costs from venue hire, staffing costs to emergency funds. Knowing how long you are going to be on-site should help you decide what the correct solution is for you. Short-term pop-ups, or pop-ups that are constantly on the move ideally will set up quickly. Not only does a quick set-up increase flexibility and allow you to attend more events each month, a quick set-up with a small team also keeps costs low and makes short-term events more economically viable with a greater liklihood of delivering a positive return on investment. Another consideration is knowing if the roadshow is a short-term endeavor with few events planned in which case it may be more cost-effective to rent rather than purchase. Renting can get you up and running faster and make sure your budget is used wisely. But if you’re in it for the long haul and want equipment that fits your brand like a glove for many shows to come, buying might be your best bet. Location Selection Hosting your roadshow or event at an appropriate location is a crucial ingredient to success. Many companies under-estimate the importance of researching the venues and checking availability which can ultimately derail the entire roadshow. Many public event spaces need booking well in advance to ensure the paperwork can be finalized. How long will you be on site? Knowing how long you are going to be on-site should help you decide what the correct solution is for you. Short-term pop-ups, or pop-ups that are constantly on the move ideally will set up quickly. Not only does a quick set-up increase flexibility and allow you to attend more events each month, a quick set-up with a small team also keeps costs low and makes short-term events more economically viable. Another consideration is access time. Some locations, especially locations in the public domain like train stations, require early load-in times and late departure times. However, if you plan on being in a location
Tesla Model in Spectacular Mobile Exhibition Unit

In an industry that’s all about forward movement, Tesla has just accelerated their marketing innovation with a showstopper that’s hard to miss. Imagine glancing in your rearview mirror to find Tesla’s Cybertruck, pulling a transparent exhibition unit with the best-selling Tesla Model Y, the best-selling car in the world, showcased within a mobile exhibition unit. It’s a move that’s both innovative and bold, a clear sign of Tesla’s commitment to doing things differently. Why Clear Box? This special box is part of Tesla’s latest campaign to show off their cars. It’s designed to be towed by the Cybertruck, helping to promote Tesla’s cars in a unique way. Here’s what makes the box special: Transparent Windows: All four sides of the box are clear, so people can see the car from any angle. LED Ceiling and Air Conditioning: These keep the car cool and well-lit, making it look even better. Battery Pack: There’s a battery on board that powers the lights and air conditioning, even when the box isn’t plugged in. This is great for showing off the car at different places without needing external power. Loading Ramps: These ramps make it easy to drive the car in and out of the box. Space for the Public: When the car isn’t in the box, it can be turned into a public space with tables and chairs. It’s a smart way to use the box for different events. Easy Access for Everyone: The box has steps and handrails that attach to it, making it easy for people to get in and check it out. Tesla Y Setting New Records The Tesla Model Y has achieved an incredible milestone, surpassing household names like the Toyota Corolla and RAV4 to become the world’s top-selling vehicle. This achievement aligns with Elon Musk’s foresight. After the Q1 2021 earnings call, Musk confidently stated that the Model Y was on track to be “the world’s most popular vehicle based on revenue in 2022 and possibly total units in 2023.” True to his word, the Model Y sold 1.23 million units last year, marking a historic success for Tesla. Journey to the Public in a Mobile Exhibition Unit This box didn’t just pop up out of nowhere. It was made with care and then shipped from the UK to New York. From there, it went to Chicago for some final tweaks to make sure it met US standards. These changes were all about making sure the box was perfect for showing off Tesla’s cars in the US. After getting all set up, the box was delivered to Tesla in Florida. There, the Tesla team got a quick training session on how to use everything. This whole process, from start to finish, took about 7 weeks. Making Waves As soon as the Cybertruck hit the road, people noticed. Social media lit up with pictures and talk about the Cybertruck towing the Model Y in a clear box. It was a hit, showing that sometimes, the best way to stand out is to keep it simple and let the product shine. Results:

Key Steps to Organize a Successful Roadshow 1. Know Your Audience Understanding who your audience is pivotal. It shapes every decision you make, from the theme to the activities you plan. Your target audience’s preferences should be the cornerstone of your roadshow’s concept. 2. Choosing the Right Locations Selecting where your roadshow will take place is critical. You need to think about the size and type of venues that will host your events. The right location can significantly influence the success of your roadshow, affecting everything from attendance to overall experience. We’re all about helping our clients from start to finish, and that includes picking the best places for their events. Take our Roadshow for Dell, for example. We traveled to 18 countries in Europe within 12 months, and we took care of everything – even the little details like getting the right permits and finding drivers who know their way around. If you’re considering hosting a roadshow in Europe for the first time, it’s essential to be well-prepared for the unique challenges and opportunities this diverse continent presents. To assist you in this endeavor, we’ve compiled a comprehensive Checklist for a Successful European roadshow. 3. Duration of Your Stay How long your roadshow stays at each location is crucial. If your setup is quick and easy, you can move more frequently, reaching more people. This flexibility can make your roadshow more effective and cost-efficient. 4. Create an Engaging Experience The heart of your roadshow is the experience you offer. It’s about more than just presenting your product or service; it’s about creating an environment that captivates your audience. Engaging your attendees is key to making your roadshow memorable and impactful. For instance, BMW was looking for a way to do more than just look good. They wanted people to get on board, check things out for themselves, and really get to know the BMW X2. They made sure their roadshow let visitors dive in and learn all about the car in a hands-on way. Read the full case study on our BMW roadshow campaign 5. Space and Capacity Planning Consider how much space you need and how many people you expect to host. The size of your event will influence the venues you choose and how you design your roadshow setup. Roadshow marketing, with its unique blend of mobility and personal engagement, offers an unparalleled platform for brands to connect with their audience. Our experience at The Clear Idea, particularly with our successful BMW and Dell roadshow campaign, demonstrates our commitment to creating memorable and effective roadshow experiences. 6. Car or No Car? Does your pop-up need to feature a car? Some car brands use a pop-up to showcase their products, whereas others use a pop-up as a place for guests and the vehicles are not housed inside the structure. This important distinction drives your solution choice. Not needing to house a vehicle opens the door to many more options. The consequence of needing to feature a car inside the pop up will probably lead to a solution which is driven by professional HGV drivers. Read the full case study on our Porsche Pop-Up campaign 7. Multiple Continents Will your showcase need to be shipped to other continents? If the answer is yes, then ideally, your solution choice is legal in each of the markets in which you want to operate. This is particularly the case if you are looking to roll-out a solution in multiple international markets. Most continents have different rules and regulations about chassis requirements. What is legal in the US is not legal in Canada. Chassis from China are not legal in the EU. If you feel you need a solution which you are confident will be legal across markets, then it is probably better to look at modular, container-based solutions which can be operated on local transport equipment which negate the need to have a compliant chassis.
