Tesla Exhibition Trailer & Roadshow Activations

Exhibition trailers and expandable roadshow trailers delivered across the USA, Germany, Switzerland, and England

On the Road with Tesla USA

Tesla turned US highways into a stage for innovation with a campaign featuring a Cybertruck towing a Transparent Showcase Trailer — a fully transparent exhibition trailer built by The Clear Idea — with the world’s best-selling Tesla Model Y displayed inside.

This mobile exhibition trailer redefined automotive marketing, blending futuristic design with viral visibility as it travelled between events and locations across the United States.

What We Delivered

The Clear Idea designed and manufactured a bespoke Transparent Showcase Trailer for Tesla’s US market — a fully transparent exhibition trailer with glass walls on all four sides, an LED-lit ceiling, and integrated air conditioning. Built in the UK, shipped to New York, adapted to US compliance standards in Chicago, and delivered to Tesla in Florida within a seven-week production-to-delivery timeline.

How It Worked

Towed by a Cybertruck, the transparent exhibition trailer brought the Model Y directly to audiences at events, retail locations, and on public roads — generating attention from passing motorists, pedestrians, and media. The trailer’s full 360-degree visibility meant the vehicle was always on display, whether stationary or in transit.

The Transparent Showcase Trailer — Built for Tesla

Purpose-built for Tesla by The Clear Idea, this Transparent Showcase Trailer offered full 360-degree visibility of the Model Y through glass walls on all four sides.

Designed to be towed by the Cybertruck, the exhibition trailer delivered a dramatic presence wherever it appeared. Integrated LED lighting, air conditioning, and onboard power kept the vehicle pristine and illuminated at all times, while loading ramps and easy-access steps allowed visitors to get close and experience the car first-hand.

Social Media Spotlight

As soon as the Cybertruck hit the road, people noticed. Social media lit up with pictures and talk about the Cybertruck towing the Model Y inside a transparent exhibition trailer.

It was a hit, showing that sometimes, the best way to stand out is to keep it simple and let the product shine.

EUROPE

Expanding Tesla's Presence Across Europe with Roadshow Trailers

Across Europe, Tesla needed agile, mobile solutions to engage customers while new permanent showrooms were being built.

From Germany to Switzerland and the UK, The Clear Idea deployed expandable roadshow trailers and compact exhibition containers that allowed Tesla to bring its products and brand experience directly to customers — at retail parks, charging hubs, and temporary showroom locations.

Pop-Up Showroom in Memmingen

While Tesla’s permanent showroom in Memmingen was under construction, The Clear Idea deployed a Pulse Trailer — a 13.6-metre expandable roadshow trailer — as a fully branded temporary showroom.

With push-button expanding sides transforming it from 2.5 metres to 4.65 metres wide, the trailer became both a retail and customer engagement hub where visitors could explore Tesla’s range, book test drives, and experience the brand in a premium environment.

Retail Park Activation, Switzerland

In Landquart, Switzerland, Tesla set up a pop-up inside a busy retail park to reach everyday shoppers.

The installation offered an approachable way to experience Tesla vehicles, proving that innovation can meet audiences wherever they are — not just in traditional showrooms.

Tesla Retail Park Activation — Landquart, Switzerland

At a busy retail park in Landquart, Switzerland, Tesla deployed a Pulse Trailer to intercept high-footfall shoppers.

The expandable roadshow trailer was configured as a walk-in Tesla experience, allowing potential customers to explore Tesla’s vehicle range and speak with representatives — without needing to travel to the nearest permanent showroom. This strategic placement proved that expandable exhibition trailers can turn any retail environment into a branded sales channel.

The Pulse Trailer — Engineered for Multi-City Roadshows

The Pulse Trailer is a 13.6-metre expandable roadshow trailer purpose-built for flexibility and performance. Push-button expanding sides extend the trailer from a road-legal 2.5 metres to 4.65 metres wide, creating up to 62m² of branded interior space.

Integrated LED lighting, air conditioning, and dual power capability (shore connection or generator) meant Tesla could run premium showroom activations across multiple European cities with minimal crew and rapid turnaround between locations.

Tesla Charging Hub — Darts Farm, England

In southwest England — an area with limited Tesla showroom coverage — Tesla deployed a 7.65-metre Pulse Container at Darts Farm as a permanent brand touchpoint alongside a new charging station.

The compact expandable unit serves as both a walk-in Tesla experience for drivers using the chargers and a discovery point for potential customers encountering the brand for the first time in a rural setting.
